Rules for using Screentico, accounts, and subscriptions
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of Screentico, including our website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

2) Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3) Accounts and access
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
- You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized access or security incident involving your account.
- We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe your account is compromised or being misused.
Organization accounts: administrators may manage users, permissions, and content visibility within the organization's workspace.
4) Subscriptions and billing
Some features require a paid subscription. Prices, billing intervals, and included limits are described on our pricing pages or in the checkout flow.
- Payments: payments are processed by our payment provider. You authorize us (and our provider) to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees.
- Renewals: subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Plan limits: your plan may include usage limits (for example, number of analyses). We may enforce limits by restricting usage or requiring an upgrade.
- Taxes: you are responsible for applicable taxes, duties, or governmental charges, unless we are required to collect them.
- Refunds: unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once paid. If you cancel, you may retain access until the end of your billing period.
5) Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Services. In particular, you will not:
- Use the Services in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, including confidential or personal data without authorization.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, probe, or compromise the Services or our infrastructure.
- Interfere with the Services, including by introducing malware or excessive automated requests.
- Use the Services to discriminate unlawfully or to make employment decisions without human review.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations or suspected abuse.
6) Customer Content
"Customer Content" means the documents, text, and other materials you upload or submit to the Services (including resumes/CVs, job descriptions, and notes).
- Your responsibility: you represent that you have all rights and permissions necessary to upload and process Customer Content, including any required notices and consents for personal data.
- License to operate: you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Customer Content solely to provide the Services and as otherwise permitted by your settings and these Terms.
- Ownership: as between you and Screentico, you retain ownership of your Customer Content.
7) AI features and outputs
The Services may include AI-assisted features that generate summaries, scores, recommendations, or other outputs based on Customer Content.
- No guarantee: AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your purpose.
- Human review: you are responsible for independently reviewing outputs and making your own decisions.
- Fairness and compliance: you are responsible for using outputs in a lawful and non-discriminatory manner, consistent with applicable employment laws.
- Privacy: we do not use Customer Content to train public AI models..
8) Intellectual property
The Services, including software, interfaces, design, and trademarks, are owned by Screentico and/or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
- You may use the Services only as permitted by these Terms.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer the Services except as allowed by law.
- We welcome feedback; you grant us the right to use feedback without restriction or obligation.
9) Third-party services
The Services may integrate with third-party services (for example, authentication, payments, email delivery, or storage). Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
10) Availability and changes
- We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Services from time to time.
- We may provide updates, patches, or modifications automatically.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, performance, or error-free operation.
11) Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Screentico will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid to Screentico for the Services in the [3] months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
13) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Screentico and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your Customer Content, or your violation of these Terms.
14) Termination
- You may stop using the Services at any time and may cancel a subscription through your account settings.
- We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends, subject to any lawful retention obligations.
15) Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Venue for disputes will be in New York County, New York, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
